Weekly SOLD stats- week ending 01/12/2013

Here’s your weekly update for the week of Jan 6- Jan 12 for Frederick and Washington Counties.

  • 34 properties closed – 23 in Frederick County and 11 in Washington County
  • The average sales price Frederick County $318,906
  • The average sales price Washington County $143,373
  • 26 of the 34 were traditional sales, 4 were short sales, and 4 were foreclosures
  • Average days on market was 58

Frederick and Washington Counties Real Estate Market Update December 2012

The numbers are in for the North Region (which includes Washington and Frederick Counties) for December, and the number of SOLDS increased by 59 over December last year.  In December we saw 595 SOLDS in our region vs. 536 for December 2011. The number of SOLDS decreased from November by 49.


Median home prices decreased from $178,200 in November to $166,000 for December.

 

The average days on market rose from 85 days in November to 98 days in December.

  • 38 properties closed – 31 in Frederick County and 7 in Washington County
  • The average sales price Frederick County $273,066
  • The average sales price Washington County $111,929
  • 24 of the 38 were traditional sales, 8 were short sales, and 6 were foreclosures
  • Average days on market was 64

  • 83 properties closed – 60 in Frederick County and 23 in Washington County
  • The average sales price Frederick County $292,696
  • The average sales price Washington County $154,683
  • 54 of the 83 were traditional sales, 14 were short sales, 14 were foreclosures, and 1 auction
  • Average days on market was 68

Frederick and Washington Counties Real Estate Market Update November 2012

The numbers are in for November, and we saw a big jump in SOLDS over the same time last year in the North Region (which includes Washington and Frederick Counties.) In November we saw 644 SOLDS in our region vs. 489 for November 2011. The number of SOLDS  increased by 33 over October numbers.

Median home prices improved by $10,000 over October reaching $178,000.

The average days on market dropped from 99 days to 85 days.

  • 47 properties closed – 33 in Frederick County and 14 in Washington County
  • The average sales price Frederick County $297,144
  • The average sales price Washington County $172,421
  • 30 of the 47 were traditional sales, 7 were short sales, and 9 were foreclosures (1 unknown)
  • Average days on market was 77
